Photographs to do with my Grandpa have dominated the project this week. As my Grandfather lost his sight he coded all his CD's with coloured dots and squares. I haven't yet cracked the code, although I think orange dots are easy listening singers and blue squares are classical. As I copied some tracks onto my itunes today I discovered that I really like his taste in music.

The best part of the Butterfly exhibition at the Natural History Museum was watching how the butterflies kept landing on the adults, but never on the children who where desperate to touch them.

I'm staying at my flat in London for a few days, I haven't been here for about a month. Everything in my room is exactly as I left it, except for an oil burner and a lighter that have appeared on my dressing table.

I went to two job interviews today. The first in Wolverhampton finished at 11.45, the second in Birmingham started at 12.50. I took this as I walked back to New Street Station.

Earlier I saw a security guard telling someone they weren't allowed to take photographs in the mall without a permit so I had to take this very quickly before I got caught!

It's always really tempting to spend ages trying to get the perfect photograph, I keep having to remind myself that the project is about using an image to represent my day and not about creating a 365 masterpieces. As the project progresses I've started to look at things differently, wondering about whether common objects could make an interesting image and what they could symbolise. I've only been doing this for a few weeks but already I think it's helping develop my ideas and my work.

Again not a very inventive shot but it does represent the highlight of my day - finishing the office wall with black marker pen trimming. As you can tell I'm very excited about the prospect of having an office!
