Very perceptive photograph and part of our human ceremonial. When we get 'booted and suited' for a funeral we feel that this is all part of the respect we owe to the individual whose chapter is closing. I am not the most elegant or stylish of people, as you well know, Louisa, but when I want or need to 'dress up', the shoes always come first.
25 or so people got suited and booted this morning for my Grandpa's funeral.
