I can't believe how many great events have happened in my lifetime. My concern is that for every great step forward we take we seem to take two back. I wept when Nelson Mandela was released and I wept at the sight of black South Africans queuing for hours to vote for the first time and look at the mess South Africa is in now. Obama's speech was superb and full of hope. I just hope the entrenched elite don't prevent him achieving all I am sure he has the ability to do. Then I think of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton and I wonder. Still Hilary has made it back and she has suffered at their hands before so she knows what they can do. A good woman to have watching your back.
Someone sent me a page from an Australian newspaper with a picture and article like this on it and then an advert for Veet across the bottom (a hair removal cream) that just said "Goodbye Bush"!
